At Serenity Falls Behavioral Health, your trust and well-being are our priority. By accessing our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Consent to Treatment

By participating in our services, you consent to receive mental health treatment including therapy, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management. Treatment is voluntary and can be discontinued at any time unless legally restricted.

2. Telehealth Services

We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth options. You agree to:

  • Participate from a private, quiet location

  • Use secure, internet-connected devices

  • Understand telehealth follows the same standards as in-person care

3. Confidentiality & Privacy

Your privacy is protected under HIPAA and California law. Exceptions include:

  • Immediate risk of harm to self/others

  • Suspected abuse of children, elders, or dependent adults

  • Legal orders requiring disclosure

4. Appointments & Cancellations

We require 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. Missed or late cancellations may be billed and are not typically covered by insurance.

5. Financial Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • All service fees not covered by insurance

  • Confirming your insurance benefits and coverage

  • Paying balances promptly

6. Emergencies

We do not offer crisis or emergency services. If you are in crisis:

  • Call 911

  • Visit the nearest emergency room

  • Call the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988

7. Minors

For clients under 18:

  • California law allows minors 12+ to consent to care in some cases

  • We aim to include parents/guardians when appropriate

  • Legal custody documentation may be required for consent

8. Termination of Services

Services may end due to:

  • Treatment completion

  • Repeated no-shows or late cancellations

  • Behavioral or safety concerns

  • Non-compliance with treatment plans

9. No Guarantee of Results

Although we provide professional care, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Progress depends on various factors including client engagement.

10. Updates

These terms may be updated. Continued use of services means you accept the latest version.
